Description
The water lily, Nymphaea, is named after the attractive and playful water nymphs of Greek and Roman mythology and grows in some of the creeks and waterways near where I live. The flowers bloom at night which is when the nymphs were said to come out to play. A magical plant!
This is a digital print of my original artwork and part of a series on plants of North Queensland, drawn from nature, not photographs. It is packed with a piece of white card in a clear, glossy resealable cello bag. Perfectly presented for a gift, even without a frame.
