I am a practicing fine artist, with qualifications to masters degree level from art colleges in the UK and Holland. After graduating, I had a career in the UK film and television industry where I worked as an art director and set designer.

In 2005 I emigrated to Australia and am based in Shannonvale, near Mossman, in regional far north Queensland. My background in film naturally influenced my art practice through cinematic imagery and composition, with story-telling and topical narratives as my themes. Discovering regional Australia, its characters and scenes, quirks and dynamics, is my main motivation to create the images I make.

In recent years I have expanded my art practice to include video, projection and digital works. I find the combination of paintings mixed with graphics and moving images enhances my story-telling capabilities.
